October 2014: Dunkin’  Donuts nutrition facts can be downloaded below.
Once known only for their wonderful donuts and rather bad coffee, Dunkin Donuts has grown into a multi-national company, with franchises in 36 states and 32 countries throughout the world. It presently sells 52 different types of donuts, and has a variety of other baked good including breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins and cookies. Selling many different coffee drinks in their stores, Dunkin also has their own ground, flavored coffee which it sell at retail outlets. Although their nutritional facts are available in the form of a “Nutrition Catalogue” (which is 8 web pages long and contains 389 entries) the caloric and nutrition synopsis of this company’s inventory is simple: high calories, low nutrition. The donut menu alone is almost three pages long. Still, what can one expect from a donut company?

The list of donuts contains such heart-stopping products as the Pumpkin Crumb Cake Donut (450 calories, 10 grams of fat) or the Butternut Donut (500 calories, 25 grams of fat). The Chocolate Coconut Cake Donut weighs in at a whopping 550 calories with 39 grams of fat. Muffins do not fare much better, with the Coffee Cake Muffin listed as 590 calories and 21 grams of fat. Dunkin offers breakfast sandwiches which also seem high in fat and calories. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissant, for example, has 480 calories and 27 grams of fat. Couple that with a large Frozen Caramel Coolatta with Cream (990 calories and 47 grams of fat) and you need not eat anything for the rest of the day.

Dunkin does offer some lo-cal alternatives. Its Wake-Up wraps can be enjoyed for only 170 calories and 8 grams of fat. Skip the donuts, have a regular coffee and you’ll be set. Dunkin Donuts also has a DDSMART line of good which offers lo-cal and low fat alternatives such as multi-grain breads, skim-milk coffee drinks and the breakfast wraps.

In the end, this is a donut shop. It does not specialize in non-fattening goods. You can gain weight just by walking in the door and sniffing the wonderful smells.
