Pizza Hut has a long-awaited new item on their menu, gluten-free pizzas. People who are allergic to gluten or simply watching their calories, but have always had to forego the awesome pizzas, will love this option when combined with the yummy sauces and toppings that Pizza Hut offers. The concept was launched on January 24, 2015, across 2400 outlets, to cater to the 44 million Americans favoring gluten-free products.
The company has entered into a partnership with Udi’s Gluten Free Foods, the largest such company all over the world. To ensure that their products are actually completely safe, they are also be working with the non-profit organization, Gluten Intolerance Group that verifies the safety of gluten-free food.
How Can You Be Sure?
Pizza Hut is taking special precautions like for instance, they stock the Udi’s gluten-free crust along with the cheese, marinara sauce and pepperoni in a specific Gluten-Free Kit. The staff has received careful instructions to wear gloves, and bake each order fresh on parchment paper. They are also required to use a designated gluten-free cutter to slice the pizza. Further, to make sure that there are no mix-ups these pizzas are delivered in a specially branded Udi’s Gluten-Free Pizza box.
