The first Hard Rock Café opened its doors back in 1971. Owned by two young men, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, the restaurant had a really eclectic style in the first few years. In 1979, Tigrett and Morton started covering the walls of their restaurant with albums and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia, and that’s when the real legend of the Hard Rock Café began. Each new Hard Rock Café location kept up the tradition, and before long the restaurant had become famous for its style and décor. While the franchise has one uniting theme, every location is different, and so is every Hard Rock Café menu. In New York City, you can’t pass up the New York strip steak, with its 12-ounce cut of prime beef aged for 28 days and fire-grilled to order when you order it.
