In 1988, Auntie Anne’s was Anne Beiler’s single-location farmer’s market stand in Downington, Pennsylvania, where she sold her signature brand of homemade soft pretzels. After just a single year of selling her incredible pretzels, though, Anne started her franchise, and a second location opened in Middletown, PA in 1989. Then, just four years after Anne opened her first stand, Auntie Anne’s celebrated the opening of its 100th franchise location.

As the franchise continued to grow over the years, Auntie Anne’s menu prices have remained very affordable, and while the selection has grown, the quality has remained incredibly high. All of the pretzels baked at Auntie Anne’s locations are made with the same recipes that Anne made for her first stand at that farmer’s market in 1988.

However, some things have changed with the Auntie Anne’s menu over the years. For example, in 2003, they introduced Pretzel Stix in both original and cinnamon sugar flavors, a perfect snack for customers when they’re on the go. Then, just a year later in 2004, they introduced a heartier, more filling snack with the Pretzel Dog, which is made by wrapping Auntie Anne’s pretzel dough around a Nathan’s Famous® hot dog. These additions to the Auntie Anne’s menu proved huge successes, and by 2009, they had opened their 1000th franchise location and added yet another great menu item with the Pepperoni Pretzel, a delicious twist on everyone’s favorite pizza topping.

With new additions to the Auntie Anne’s menu and prices that stay low and affordable, people continue to love stopping in at Auntie Anne’s locations all over the United States and all over the world. Today you can enjoy all of these Auntie Anne’s menu items, along with Mini Pretzel Dogs, and Pretzel Nuggets.
