In 1964, Arby’s Leroy and Forrest decided that there were enough burger joints in the world. They thought that people might like to try something new, so they opened their roast-beef sandwich shop in Boardman, Ohio. Now there are over 3400 Arby’s locations, all serving tasty sandwiches, salad and sides. At the moment, Arby’s has some really yummy specials that you should try before they are gone.
Arby’s adds fish to the Arby’s Menu
Arby’s has decided to add fish to their menu items. In true Arby’s style, the restaurant chain has opted for the best, freshest, most nutritional fish it can find. Arby’s insists on “sustainably caught Alaskan Pollock” for their fish sandwiches. No farmed fish here, folks. With all the horror stories going around about farmed fish these days, who would expect anything less than something completely natural from a restaurant that prides itself with serving quality products from sustainable resources. Presently, Arby’s is offing the King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe and the Classic Fish sandwiches for a limited time. Both sandwiches feature sustainably caught Alaskan Pollock, in keeping with Arby’s “FlavorFull Corporate Social Responsibility” campaign.
The King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich is a real taste treat. It should be noted that this particular sandwich creation was invented by an Arby’s franchise member – Brandon Morris – as part of an Arby’s menu-idea contest. It is made with Alaskan Pollock (fresh) lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and tartar sauce on a lovely King’s Hawaiian bun. The Hawaiian buns are extra fluffy, and just a little sweet, so the combination is really great. See the Arbys menu prices for more information.
The limited time Classic Fish Sandwich on the Arby’s menu also starts with a crispy Alaska Pollock filet. Add lettuce and tartar sauce on their sesame-seed bun (toasted, of course) and you have a pretty delicious meal.
If you are looking for something a little spicier, you might want to order some Jalapeño Hushpuppies to go along with your fish sandwich. They are only available for a limited time, but if enough people buy them, maybe they will become a regular menu item. One can only hope…
And, finally, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day (or just in time to cool down your throat after a Jalapeño Hushpuppy) you can indulge in a Mint Chocolate Swirl Shake. This Arby’s menu item is topped with whipped cream and Andes Mint Chocolate pieces and is swirled with chocolate. What a glorious combination.
