The restaurant you now know as Applebee’s actually started out in Atlanta, Georgia in 1980 as “T.J. Applebee’s Rx for Edibles and Elixirs®”, and it was the brainchild of Bill and T.J. Palmer. Just three years later, after running a hugely successful restaurant with a fun atmosphere and affordable prices, the Palmers sold the concept for Applebee’s to W.R. Grace and Company, and the name of the restaurant was changed to the shorter, easier to remember version you know today – Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill. Soon after that, the first franchise restaurant would open in Kansas City, and the brand would explode into popularity in just a few years.

Today, with nearly 2000 locations in 49 states and 15 international countries, Applebee’s is dedicated to bringing its customers a fun and delicious casual-dining experience, which is most definitely reflected in the Applebee’s menu prices you’ll find at any location. Want to take a date out for a great evening but short on funds? Applebee’s prices are so low that you can treat yourselves without emptying your wallet. With the “2 for $20” special, for example, you can get an appetizer and two entrees, all for just $20. Plus, during Applebee’s happy hour, you can get special prices on some of the restaurant’s famous specialty cocktails.

  1. I’m really confused seeing breakfast items on here and also seeing their burgers calls “Whataburgers”. Applebees calls their burgers “Freshburgers”, they don’t open for breakfast, and they don’t call their chicken “Whatachick’n”. It seems that the Whataburger (where they serve breakfast and they style their menu items as “whata…”) menu got muddled up into the Applebees menu somehow.

  2. Went to Applebee’s last night after 9.00 clock ordered cheese quasadeias got four little ones was charged 8.69 cents what happened to half priced appetizers after 9.00 I was ripped off please tell me why I was charged so much
