When you are looking at Burger King prices, especially Burger King Whopper prices, a lot depends on where you are and what you are ordering. Of course, the Whopper is the signature BK flame-broiled burger, and the Burger King price depends, on how high you want to build your Whopper, and what kinds of add-on’s you want to add to add on. When it comes to a Burger King Whopper price, size does matter.

What’s in the Whopper?

The standard Whopper sandwich (1/4 pound beef patty, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayo – catsup and mustard if ya’ want ‘em) will cost you about $3.49. A Whopper Jr. is $1.29, but it is smaller. Then you start adding on. A Double Whopper (Whopper with two hamburger patties) may run you $4.39 and a Carolina BBQ Whopper (if available in your area) will also cost $4.39. A triple Whopper (Whopper with three hamburger patties) costs a whopping (no pun intended) $5.29. These are average prices throughout the US. Signature Whoppers are also available in some locations, like the 4 Cheese Whopper (Whopper plus American cheese and a three-cheese blend).

One of the reasons the prices for the relatively high price of the Whopper might be that, unlike many fast food places, the burgers are simply staked on each other. There are no buns in between, so the consumer will be getting a higher protein to carbohydrate (i.e. empty calories) ratio. Also the fact that they are flame-broiled and not fried makes them a slightly healthier choice.

Whoppers and not found on the BK value menu, so there will not be a price break when looking at and comparing Burger King menu prices. There are a couple of ways to save on Whopper prices, however. You can get a coupon; Burger King is good about sending out coupons and special deals to people who sign up. And you can order two Whopper Jr.s’. Do the math. Two Jr.’s are less expensive than a Double Whopper.
