It’s been over 50 years since the first Arby’s opened under a sign shaped like a big brown hat in 1964. Back then, if you wanted fast food, your choices were limited to burgers and…well…burgers. Tired of all of the same fast food burgers, Leroy and Forrest Raffel opened a fast food restaurant that served hot, fresh sandwiches with more variety than you could get at any competing restaurants.

Just one year later, the first Arby’s franchise opened, and then in 1971 they debuted the now-famous new Arby’s roast beef sandwich. Of all of the items on the Arby’s menu, this one is the by far the most popular, and this slow-roasted, freshly sliced sandwich was a real game changer for the fast food business in the ‘70s. Arby’s menu would continue to change the game throughout the next decades with more new introductions, like the Arby-Q® sandwich and then when they added warm, melted cheese to their original roast beef sandwich.

As Arby’s menu continued to evolve, and the company continued to add new options for healthier snacks and meals, as well as desserts, kids’ options, and other selections, Arby’s menu prices continued to stay competitive with more traditional fast food restaurants, proving that you don’t have to settle for a plain old burger if you want a fast, affordable meal.

Today there are nearly 1000 corporate-owned Arby’s restaurants and almost 2500 franchises across the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Qatar. Throughout the franchise’s expansion, Arby’s menu has stayed true to the Raffels’ original vision, using only fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their slogan, “We have the meats!” refers to their selection of grade-A, prime meats, including brisket that’s smoked for 13 hours, angus steak, corned beef, roast turkey, and chicken “breast and nothing but the breast.”

Arby’s hours are convenient as well, as most locations are open from 10:00 AM to midnight seven days a week. So, whether you need to grab a quick, delicious, and healthy bite for lunch or you’re looking for a convenient dinner that will make the whole family happy without breaking your budget, then you’re in luck. Arby’s menu prices are easy on the wallet, while their hours are convenient for almost any schedule.

  1. I don’t eat at arby’s but my husband said it’s been awhile so he order. I don’t like there food. So I told him not to get me anything, he got his Corned Beef Reuben and he order me the Brown Sugar Bacon BLT Sandwich (Limited Time) Omg…this is something you guys need to keep all the time…fell in love with it…so sad it’s limited time only.. Was the best sandwich I have had in a long time… Guess I will have to wait until next year (hopefully) for the Brown Sugar Bacon BLT Sandwich . if not probably won’t eat there again…

  2. I was in a rush as all of us are at times & I went to the drive-thru at Arby’s & ordered a french dip with a jus, no meal & my receipt:
    1 Angus Philly
    4 Jack Cheese in a cup for a $1.20

4 orders of jack cheese in a cup, I’m guessing that’s the a jus price?

  3. I bought three classic roast beef sandwiches at the Shelby NC Arby’s location last week. I did a carry out that was my mistake. After the drive home I was in a hurry for an appointment and then I saw the sandwiches I was ticked. You guys have a terrible mark up for the sandwiches. I assure you there was less than an ounce of beef on each sandwich. Your stores did not used to be that way. I do not know if I choose to go back for sandwiches when the small amount of beef covered 1/4 to 1/3 of each bun bottom. You guys must make a lot of money on these sandwiches. Less than an ounce of beef maybe 40 cents, bun about 20 cents, sauce 5 cents, paper, bag, and labor 40 cents. $1.05 maybe for a sandwich other than facility costs for a sandwich that was near $4.50 each is a bit much. Is it Arby’s goal to make 15-16 sandwiches with a pound of beef. I would enjoy any reply. Thanks.
